Who We Are
We have over 20 years of experience!
CEDEPP has established itself as a leader in the integration of Pet Interventions in Puerto Rico, under the direction of Dr. Marieanne Cott Pollock, a pioneer in this specialty and services.
CEDEPP has transformed lives through innovative programs that connect humans and animals in a unique therapeutic bond. Dr. Cott Pollock's doctoral thesis demonstrated how Pet-Assisted Therapy significantly reduces anxiety and pain in children with cancer, setting a precedent in this field.
His vision has allowed us to extend these services to diverse populations in both Puerto Rico and the United States, contributing to the physical and emotional well-being of our clients.
At CECEPP we work every day to create eternal bonds between humans and pets.
Help us build a more compassionate world and strengthen the bond between humans and animals.
Our Vision
Awareness
Prevent cruelty
Educate the public about the benefits of the animal-human relationship, including emotional, social, and therapeutic benefits.
Increase understanding of human-animal abuse and cruelty, and advocate for the protection and well-being of all living beings.

Promoting compassion
Foster a culture of empathy, respect, and kindness toward animals and encourage compassionate interactions between humans and animals.
Improve well-being
Demonstrate how animal-assisted interventions can improve the physical and/or emotional well-being of individuals and communities.
Closing the gap!

Connecting people and animals through educational programs, hands-on experiences, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the bond between humans and their non-human companions.
Our Mission

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Train and Certify
Rescued animals are nursed back to health, then placed in loving homes or specially trained as emotional support animals and/or service dogs.
