Who We Are

We have over 20 years of experience!

CEDEPP   has established itself as a leader in the integration of Pet Interventions in Puerto Rico, under the direction of Dr. Marieanne Cott Pollock, a pioneer in this specialty and services.

CEDEPP has transformed lives through innovative programs that connect humans and animals in a unique therapeutic bond. Dr. Cott Pollock's doctoral thesis demonstrated how Pet-Assisted Therapy significantly reduces anxiety and pain in children with cancer, setting a precedent in this field.

His vision has allowed us to extend these services to diverse populations in both Puerto Rico and the United States, contributing to the physical and emotional well-being of our clients.

At CECEPP we work every day to create eternal bonds between humans and pets.

Help us build a more compassionate world and strengthen the bond between humans and animals.

Our Vision

Counseling

Reiki works on the principle that human beings are energy, and that when it is blocked, illness occurs.

Through the laying on of hands, the knot that has formed and is preventing the flow of energy is dissolved, thus restoring balance to the body.

Through thanatological therapy, you will acquire tools to assimilate and understand your emotions, overcome the pain of loss, grow stronger, and find peace, all with the help of a specialist.

When people say your dog sees you as his pack, it's a fact. Dogs like to live in society, and when they're separated from their mother and siblings, the canine experiences a distress when introduced to a new and different environment.

From here on, his companions will be people and the dog will enter his new home with his new pack.

This is where your work comes in, training your dog and helping him adapt to his new environment and learn to live with the people around him.

Medical counseling is a model of care that focuses on the individual or patient. Its purpose is to: Investigate the individual's concerns and needs regarding their health. Provide support with the analysis of symptoms and circumstances related to the individual's health.

Rocky & Me: A Story of Second Chances

" For a long time, I searched for a dog that would help me manage both my emotional and physical health. Months, maybe years, passed, waiting for that special companion who I knew would change my life.

While I was waiting, a Golden Retriever was going through his own ordeal. He was found tied to a tree, exposed to the sun and dew, suffering with no one to care about him. CEDEPP, a wonderful organization, rescued and trained him. Not only did they restore his health, but they also trained him to become a service dog. Now, Rocky and I go everywhere together. People adore him, and for me, no day is complete without him by my side. Rocky taught me that second chances exist, not only for dogs like him, but also for people like me.
